Brach Eichler Appoints Susan Dromsky-Reed to Firm’s Executive Committee

Roseland, NJ, (April 9, 2019) – Brach Eichler LLC today announced that Susan Dromsky-Reed, a Member in the firm’s Trusts and Estates, Tax and Family Law practice areas, has been elected to its five–member Executive Committee.  Dromsky-Reed is the first woman in the firm’s history to serve in this role.

Dromsky-Reed focuses her practice on estate planning for families and individuals, as well as tax advice regarding spousal, intergenerational, and business succession; charitable planning; life insurance planning; and the preparation of prenuptial agreements. She also assists individuals in creating wills, irrevocable trusts and living revocable trusts and helps clients draft and understand financial powers of attorney, living wills, and health care agent designations.  In addition, Dromsky-Reed works with clients to implement sophisticated trust structures and gifting techniques, provides fiduciary advice for ongoing trust management, and routinely assists clients with complex estate administration. She also advises nonprofit entities on the formation and management of charitable trusts and private foundations.

Admitted as a Fellow to the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel in 2015, she was also named among New Jersey Super Lawyers for 2017 and 2018 and to Best Lawyers in America® for 2019.  Dromsky-Reed is a Trustee of the Essex County Estate Planning Council and a Member of the Board and Chair of the Scholarship Committee of Executive Women of New Jersey (EWNJ), whose mission is to ensure that women have equal opportunity and representation in senior corporate leadership. Last year, she was elected to the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Real Property Trust & Estate Law Section Board of Consultors, which is responsible for reviewing potential legislation and making recommendations for legislation and regulations to the New Jersey Supreme Court and the Bar Association.

Dromsky-Reed joined Brach Eichler as an associate in 1997.  Earlier in her career, Dromsky-Reed was a law clerk for the Honorable Robert J. Passero (Ret.), Superior Court of New Jersey, Passaic County, Family Part.

She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey.  Dromsky-Reed earned a J.D., with honors, from George Washington University School of Law, an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University, and a B.A., magna cum laude, with honors, from Hamilton College.  She resides in Kinnelon, New Jersey.
