Jocelyn E. Ezratty, Associate

973.364.5211 · 973.629.1591 Fax ·

Jocelyn Ezratty maintains a transactional and regulatory compliance practice through the representation of a variety of healthcare clients, including physicians, ambulatory surgery centers, medical practices, hospitals, medical equipment suppliers, and entrepreneurs in the healthcare space. Jocelyn focuses her practice on corporate and healthcare transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and commercial business arrangements. She provides legal guidance on regulatory and operational matters that relate to anti-kickback laws, self-referral laws, insurance matters, licensure, change of ownership, payor reimbursement, HIPAA, and other laws and regulations applicable to healthcare clients.

Prior to joining Brach Eichler, Jocelyn gained experience representing healthcare clients on a broad range of legal actions, including medical licensure issues, government investigations, and complex business litigations involving contractual disputes, business torts, healthcare provider confidentiality, healthcare fraud, ERISA, and third-party payor disputes.

During law school, Jocelyn was the recipient of the Exemplary Service to the Poor Award for her participation in the University of Miami Health Rights Clinic’s medical-legal partnership. There, she advocated for low-income individuals in front of administrative agencies on behalf of her clients’ disability, immigration, and public benefits matters. While participating in the Health Rights Clinic, she also won an administrative appeal in federal court on behalf of her client, overruling a final decision by the Social Security Administration based on interpretations of the Social Security Act regulations.

Jocelyn also served as judicial intern in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida for the Honorable Barbara Areces and the Honorable Abby Cynamon.
