16 Brach Eichler Members Included In 2018 New Jersey Super Lawyers, The Most In Firm’s History

Roseland, NJ, (March 19, 2018) – Sixteen members of Brach Eichler LLC have been selected to the  2018 New Jersey Super Lawyers list, the most named to the prestigious ranking in the firm’s history and more than double the number of members that were named just two years ago. Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. In addition, 10 Brach Eichler attorneys were named to the 2018 New Jersey Rising Stars list, double the number of those who were named to the 2017 list.  Rising Stars recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys age 40 or under or who are in practice for 10 years or less. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.

Edward P. Capozzi, a member in the litigation practice and head of the personal injury practice, is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial attorney. He focuses his practice on personal injury arising from automobile, premises, product liability, and construction accidents. He was recognized by the New Jersey Law Journal with its “Hall of Fame Award 2014,” having obtained the largest verdict in a product liability case in New Jersey. Recognized by Super Lawyers every year since 2010, he resides in Kinnelon, NJ.

Matthew M. Collins is chair of the firm’s labor and employment law practice, and a member in the litigation and cannabis law practice groups. He represents both employers and employees in all aspects of labor and employment law including: counseling and compliance services; regulatory investigations and hearings; litigation and alternative dispute resolution; wrongful termination, hostile work environment, whistleblower, and retaliation claims; and wage, overtime, misclassification, commission, and bonus claims.  First named to New Jersey Super Lawyers in 2017, he resides in Randolph, NJ.

Susan K. Dromsky-Reed is a member in the trusts & estates, tax, and family law practice groups.  As part of her focus on estate planning and estate administration, she provides individuals and families with advice regarding spousal, intergenerational, business succession, charitable giving, trusts, limited partnerships, limited liability companies, split-dollar insurance financing transactions, and sales of assets to defective grantor trusts. A fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, she was named to the Super Lawyers list for trusts & estates in 2017. She resides in Kinnelon, NJ.

John D. Fanburg is managing member of the firm, chairs its health law practice group and co-chairs the cannabis law practice.  Fanburg has over 30 years’ experience representing major hospitals, diverse medical groups, and statewide physician specialty organizations in a broad range of corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters. Joseph M. Gorrell is a member in the health law practice group and counsels hospitals, medical staffs, nursing homes, and individual practitioners on a broad scope of issues ranging from practice bylaws to regulatory disciplinary actions to medical bioethics. Carol Grelecki is a member in the health law practice group and represents physicians and other medical professionals, hospitals, ambulatory care facilities, independent practice associations, clinical laboratories, utilization managers, and billing companies in regulatory, licensure, corporate, and transactional matters.  She has been named among the Best Lawyers in America since 2015. This is the first time Grelecki has been recognized by New Jersey Super Lawyers. She resides in Scotch Plains, NJ.

Alan R. Hammer is a member in the real estate and real estate tax appeals practice groups where he represents professional real estate investors, lenders, purchasers, and sellers of office buildings, shopping centers, industrial facilities, apartment complexes, and vacant land. Hammer has been named to New Jersey Super Lawyers every year since 2005. For 25 years, he has been peer review-rated as AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating for professional excellence, and has been named by his peers as among the Best Lawyers in America for the past 12 years. Hammer has also been recognized for several years by Chambers USA, the notable ranking company.  He resides in Livingston, NJ.

Debra Lienhardt is a member in the health law practice.  Deb has a dynamic practice, representing a variety of health care providers, including ambulatory care facilities, hospitals, physician groups, long-term care facilities, real estate operators, and health care entrepreneurs, in corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters. She has extensive experience assisting professionals with the establishment, operation, and expansion of medical practices and is also proficient in all facets of the ambulatory surgical center business.  This year represents the first time she was named to New Jersey Super Lawyers.  She lives in Glen Ridge, NJ.

Mark Manigan is a member of the firm’s health law practice where he represents health care industry participants in a wide range of transactional and regulatory matters.  Manigan has been named to NJBIZ’s “Power 50 Healthcare” list seven years in a row.  In addition, he was named in 2016 and 2018 among New Jersey and New York Best Lawyers and to New Jersey Super Lawyers in 2017.  Manigan was a member of Governor Chris Christie’s and Governor Phil Murphy’s transition teams, in each case serving on the healthcare transition subcommittees.  He resides in Maplewood, NJ.

Allen J. Popowitz is chair of the real estate practice group and a member in the real estate tax appeals, business transactions and financial services, and cannabis law practice groups.  He concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial real estate transactions and mortgage lending.  A resident of Franklin Lakes, NJ, Popowitz was named to New Jersey Super Lawyers in 2010-2012 and again, in 2015-2017.  He has also been recognized for the past several years by notable ranking company, Chambers USA.

Anthony M. Rainone is a member in the labor and employment and litigation practice groups handling counseling and litigation for all types of labor and employment issues, in addition to shareholder disputes, commercial contracts, and construction law.  He has been peer review-rated as AV Preeminent, the highest rating for professional excellence by Martindale Hubbell, and had previously been named to the list of New Jersey Rising Stars from 2009 to 2016 and to New Jersey Super Lawyers in 2017. David J. Keith J. Roberts is a member in the health law and personal injury practice groups.  Certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Attorney, he focuses his practice on complex insurance litigation, personal injury, and PIP arbitration. He is one of a select few attorneys to serve on the New Jersey Insurance Commissioner’s Technical Advisory Committee on PIP (PIPTAC). Alex S. Capozzi is an associate in the litigation and personal injury practice groups.  He has extensive experience litigating cases involving personal injuries and complex civil issues against insurance companies. He has personally obtained multi-million-dollar jury verdicts on behalf of injured victims and he is recognized as being one of the youngest attorneys in the history of New Jersey to ever receive a multi-million-dollar jury verdict at trial. He resides in Jersey City, NJ.

Shannon Carroll is an associate in the health law practice group, where she focuses her practice in the areas of health care litigation, complex commercial litigation, compliance, and health care fraud. She represents doctors and other health care providers in civil and administrative actions involving fraud allegations, reimbursement issues, and contract disputes.  She has been named to New Jersey Rising Stars since 2013.  Carroll resides in Oradell, NJ.

Corey A. Dietz is an associate in the litigation and personal injury practice groups.  Dietz is a trial attorney who works with the firm’s personal injury clients to obtain just compensation in the aftermath of motor vehicle and trucking accidents, construction accidents, slip and fall, product liability, and wrongful death, among other matters.  He is an aggressive advocate for his clients and has experience handling complex matters against insurance companies.  Dietz has helped obtain numerous six- and seven-figure settlements.  He lives in Warren, NJ.

Mark A. Fantin is an associate in the litigation practice, where he focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. Fantin has experience in shareholder disputes, dissolution, commercial real estate, franchise and license agreements, employment law, securities litigation and other business-related matters.  Fantin has been named among New Jersey Rising Stars since 2012 and resides in Chester, NJ.

Lauren D. Goldberg is counsel in the health law practice group and serves a diverse group of providers, including health systems, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and other outpatient facilities, clinical laboratories, urgent care providers, and physicians. Her practice emphasizes corporate transactions, fraud and abuse, and facility licensure. Named to New Jersey Rising Stars since 2014, Goldberg is a resident of Livingston, NJ.

Lucas A. Markowitz is an associate in the labor and employment and litigation practice groups. Autumn M. McCourt is an associate in the litigation and criminal defense and government investigations practice groups. Kristofer C. Petrie is an associate in the litigation and personal injury practice groups. Brian R. Wong is an associate in the health law practice group.
