Brach Eichler Adds Five Attorneys in Key Practices

Roseland, NJ, (October 16, 2018) – Five attorneys have joined Brach Eichler LLC as associates in the firm’s Health Law, Trusts & Estates, and Personal Injury Practice Groups.

“These talented associates bring a wealth of varied experience to their practice groups and will provide valuable counsel to Brach Eichler’s clients,” said John D. Fanburg, Managing Member of the firm and Chair of its Health Law Practice. “Their diverse backgrounds will serve our clients well in their respective areas of practice, and we look forward to their contributions.”

Susan Frankel joins the Health Law Practice with a focus on health care regulatory and litigation matters, representing health care providers and facilities. She also has significant commercial litigation experience in employment law, real estate, business disputes, securities and intellectual property. Prior to Brach Eichler, Frankel was the director of operations and compliance for a multi-state physician practice, overseeing regulatory compliance with industry-related laws and regulations. She was also responsible for a range of legal business matters. Previously, she worked in law firm senior management for a large New York City firm.

Frankel is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, as well as the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. She holds a J.D. from University of Pennsylvania, an LL.M. in health law from Loyola University in Chicago and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Binghamton University (SUNY). She resides in Warwick, NY.

Cynthia Liba joins Brach Eichler’s Health Law Practice Group where she will focus on health care business transactions and regulatory compliance issues. Prior to Brach Eichler, Liba was an agency attorney at the New York City Human Resources Administration’s Office of Legal Affairs, Health and Community Services Litigation and Program Counseling Unit. She also served as a legal intern with the United States Attorney’s Office, Civil Division – Western District of Pennsylvania; the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Department of Risk Management, and the New York State Attorney General, Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.

Admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York State, she earned her J.D. and a certificate in health law from University of Pittsburgh School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Binghamton University (SUNY) with a B.A. She resides in East Hanover, NJ.

Regina Rodriguez joins Brach Eichler’s Personal Injury Practice Group after several years of private practice in personal injury and real estate matters. She was most recently an associate at Dario, Albert, Metz & Eyerman, LLC in Union City, N.J., where she handled landlord-tenancy, civil, and real estate cases. Rodriguez also served as a public defender in Union City Municipal Court. Prior to entering the practice of law, Rodriguez garnered extensive business experience at Prudential Financial, serving as a Senior Analyst of Business, Quality & Control and then Manager of Compliance.

A member of the New Jersey Bar, Rodriguez holds a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. from New York University. She is a resident of Hawthorne, NJ.

Andrew Russo of the Health Law Practice provides legal counsel to health care providers, systems and facilities on a range of health care transactional and regulatory compliance matters. Previously, Russo was an Associate at Frier & Levitt, LLC where he advised specialty and retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical wholesalers, and other healthcare providers on commercial and corporate litigation and healthcare industry regulation.

He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. He earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law with a concentration in health law; he also is certified in health care compliance through Seton Hall University School of Law’s Healthcare Compliance Certification Program. Russo earned a B.A. from Franklin & Marshall and resides in Jersey City, NJ.

Ella Yusim of Brach Eichler’s Trusts & Estates Practice concentrates on estate administration matters. She previously was an associate at Connors and Sullivan, PLLC in Brooklyn, N.Y., where she counseled clients on estate planning and designed custom estate and wealth preservation plans, utilizing various trusts to leverage wealth transfer tax exemptions and maximize estate tax savings. Additionally, Yusim handled all facets of post-death administration and represented fiduciaries, heirs, and beneficiaries in contested trust and estate matters. She also led the firm’s pro bono initiative to assist veterans with estate planning issues.

Admitted to the New Jersey and New York State bars, she earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where she was Notes Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of Corporate, Financial, and Commercial Law. She earned a B.B.A, cum laude, from Baruch College (CUNY Honors College) and resides in Staten Island, NY.
