Brach Eichler Continues Growth Trend, Adds Six New Attorneys

Roseland, NJ, (May 9, 2019) –Brach Eichler LLC today announced that Steven M.  DiPasquo has joined the firm as Counsel, and Mark E. Critchley, Jocelyn E. Ezratty, Erika R. Marshall, Salim Sabbagh and David L. Tsin have joined the firm as Associates.

Steven M, DiPasquo joins Brach Eichler as Counsel in its Patent, Intellectual Property, and Information Technology practice, where he will focus on the acquisition of patent rights in the U.S. and globally in connection with a variety of technologies, including computer and software, electrical, mechanical, biomedical, artificial intelligence and machine learning, medical imaging, image processing, medical devices, mobile applications, data analytics, big data, telecommunications, industrial control systems, fiber optics, global positioning systems, consumer electronics, semi-conductors, digital signal processing, financial technology, gaming, and business methods. With more than 15 years’ experience, he will advise clients on the development and management of worldwide patent portfolios; draft and negotiate licensing agreements and other agreements relating to patents, software, and technology; conduct studies and render opinions regarding the patentability of inventions; and counsel clients on all aspects of trademark, copyright, Internet, and technology law.

Prior to joining Brach Eichler, he was Counsel with Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi. Admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, DiPasquo earned a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and a B.S. from Case Western Reserve University. He is a member of the American Bar Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the New Jersey Intellectual Property Law Association. He resides in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.

Mark E. Critchley joins Brach Eichler’s Litigation practice as an Associate where he will focus on business, commercial, and general litigation. Prior to joining Brach Eichler, he was a Deputy Attorney General with the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, Division of Law. As a member of the Consumer Fraud Prosecution Section, Critchley led investigations and litigations on behalf of the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs and other state agencies pertaining to violations of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, New Jersey False Claims Act, and numerous consumer fraud regulations. Previously, Critchley clerked for the Honorable Anthony J. Parrillo, P.J.A.D. (ret.) in the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division.

He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey.  Critchley earned a J.D., cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he was Lead Articles Editor of the Washington and Lee Law Review, and a B.A. from University of Maryland. Critchley is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and is an active volunteer for the Special Olympics New Jersey Summer Games. He resides in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Jocelyn E. Ezratty joins Brach Eichler as an Associate in the Healthcare Law practice.  She focuses her practice on healthcare and corporate transactional and regulatory compliance for such matters as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and commercial business arrangements for a variety of healthcare clients, including physicians, ambulatory surgery centers, medical practices, hospitals, medical equipment suppliers, and entrepreneurs in the healthcare space. Specifically, Ezratty provides legal guidance on regulatory and operational matters that relate to the anti-kickback laws, self-referral laws, insurance matters, licensure, change of ownership, payor reimbursement, HIPAA, and other laws and regulations applicable to healthcare clients.

While attending University of Miami School of Law, she received the Exemplary Service to the Poor Award for her participation in the University of Miami Health Rights Clinic’s medical-legal partnership. There, she advocated for low-income individuals in front of administrative agencies on behalf of her clients’ disability, immigration, and public benefits matters. While participating in the Health Rights Clinic, she also won an administrative appeal in federal court on behalf of her client, overruling a final decision by the Social Security Administration based on interpretations of the Social Security Act regulations.

Ezratty also served as judicial intern in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida for the Honorable Barbara Areces and the Honorable Abby Cynamon.

She is admitted to practice in New York, Florida and before the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from University of Miami School of Law and a B.S from University of Central Florida. She is a member of the Florida Bar Association, American Bar Association, and New York Bar Association. Ezratty resides in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Erika R. Marshall joins Brach Eichler’s Health Law practice in Roseland, where she provides legal counsel to medical professionals and healthcare entities on healthcare business transactions and related matters. Marshall previously worked in the franchise division of Realogy Holdings Corporation where she handled multi-branded franchise agreements in the contracts department. Prior to this role, she was an Associate at Ambrosio, De Pierro & Wernick, LLC, where she worked on various matters encompassing civil litigation, family law, and legal malpractice.

Marshall earned a J.D. from New England School of Law, and a B.S. from Franklin & Marshall College. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey. Marshall resides in West Orange, New Jersey.

Salim Sabbagh joins Brach Eichler’s Personal Injury and Litigation Practice as an Associate in the Roseland office. He focuses his practice on personal injury litigation. Sabbagh has personally obtained multi-million-dollar verdicts for his clients and was recognized as a winner of one of the Top 10 personal injury verdicts in New Jersey in 2017 by TopVerdict.

Prior to joining Brach Eichler, Sabbagh served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Susan J. Steele, Civil Division, in Bergen County Superior Court, and to the Hon. Kathleen A. Sheedy, Family Division, in Monmouth County Superior Court.

While attending Seton Hall University School of Law, Sabbagh worked as a student attorney in the Immigrants’ Rights/International Human Rights Clinic. In this role, Sabbagh represented a young man fleeing sectarian violence in Syria; he briefed and won an appeal before the Board of Immigration Appeals, as well as prepared a filing for remand before the Immigration Court. His client succeeded in being granted asylum.

Admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, he earned a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and a B.A. from Monmouth University, where he was a member of the Pio Sigma Alpha Honor Society and the Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society.  He resides in Wayne, New Jersey.

David L. Tsin joins the firm’s Business Transactions & Financial Services practice as an Associate in the Roseland office. Tsin brings considerable experience advising and representing large and small business clients on a wide range of corporate, securities, and other business law matters, including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, strategic alliances, private equity investments, commercial contracts and transactions, credit arrangements, public and private offerings of securities, compliance with securities laws and regulations, and legal entity formation and governance.

Prior to joining Brach Eichler, Tsin practiced law at the New York City office of two prominent, international law firms, Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where he focused mainly on sophisticated corporate and securities law matters. Before attending law school, he was an Audit Manager at the New York City office of the Big Four accounting firm KPMG LLP.

He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and the District of Columbia, and before various federal district courts, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States.  Tsin is also a Certified Public Accountant (licensed in New York). He earned a J.D. from University of Chicago Law School, an M.B.A. from University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a B.S. from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Tsin is also dedicated to community service. The New York State Bar Association has recognized him as an Empire State Counsel Honoree on multiple occasions for his pro bono legal work helping those in need. He is also a recent recipient of The President’s Volunteer Service Award. David resides in New York City.
