NJDEP Adopts Amendments to the Remediation Standards

On May 17, 2021, the New Jersey Register published the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (“NJDEP”) amendments to the Remediation Standards (N.J.A.C. 7:26D), which will cover the soil standards. In addition, NJDEP has developed and updated several technical guidance documents, as well as its Vapor Intrusion Technical Guidance to be consistent with the new indoor air remediation standards. NJDEP will offer training for the new amendments to the Remediation Standards, the alternative remediation standards technical guidance, and updated vapor intrusion screening levels to LSRPs and interested parties next month.
