Seminar: The Crossover Between Chancery and Business Court

Does Your Case Belong in Chancery? Does Your Case Belong in Law Division?
BACK TO INSIGHTS     Events

About the Program: The Chancery Division is New Jersey’s court of “equity.” Judges hearing chancery cases can grant relief in civil matters which goes beyond awarding money damages. New Jersey’s Complex Business Litigation Program operates within the civil division of the NJ trial courts and hears business disputes primarily or exclusively. So how does an attorney decide whether to file a case in Chancery or as a Complex Business case? And, are there situations where the case must be filed in one court over the other?

Join the blue-ribbon panel of members of the bench and bar, including Brach Eichler’s Rose Suriano, as they delve into these questions and more.
